This year the KSSP hosted the very first Key Steps 2 Gymnastics competition for year 3 and 4 pupils in the Kingston Borough. The competition took place on Wednesday 5th May at Coombe Girls' School in New Malden and turned out a great success. Both girls and boys from each school took part in three different events; Body Management, Floor Exercise and Vault; from which all their scores were combined in order to get a total team score for their school.
The results were as follows:
| RANK | SCHOOL | POINTS |
| 1st | Latchmere | 106.8 |
| 2nd | Fernhill | 100.1 |
| 3rd | Grand Avenue | 96.6 |
| 4th | King Athlestan | 91.5 |
| 5th | Malden Manor | 90.5 |
A special thank you must be given to all the young leaders from Coombe Girls School who did an amazing job by helping to run the event. Some of their jobs included; Judges, Event Managers, Score Runners, and some performed for the primary schools at the end of the competition. Without them the competition would not have run so smoothly so thank you girls!
The "Borough Champions", Latchmere, will now go on to represent Kingston at the London Mini Youth Games in July. Well done to all participants and best of luck to Latchmere for the Mini Games!
