Secondary Borough Trampolining 2009/10

The 2010 annual Kingston Borough Trampolining Competition took place at Tolworth Recreation Centre on Tuesday 23rd February.   The competition was a great success with exceptional performance from many competitors. Trampolining in Kingston is very popular and with thirty one teams in total from Tolworth Girls, Chessington Community Centre, Hollyfield School, Coombe Girls', Kingston College and Surbiton High School, the competition was always going to be highly challenged and a really successful event.

The afternoon started with the Compulsory routines followed by the Voluntary.   McKenzie Roberts and Jessica Painter competing for Tolworth Girls School were always going to be a hard act to follow in the U12 age group and deservedly jumped their team into first place, with the support of Rebecca Corbett and Paige Belstead. Congratulations must also go to Jessica Moore, Shannon Ria and Ria Harris from Tolworth U13 team who showed outstanding and consistency and secured first place, being supported by Jessica Kingshott. Loriah James and Ladina Clements from Surbiton High School helped their team to victory in the U15 category.  The strength of Tolworth across all age groups could not be matched and with the help of Katie Sacre, Tolwoth U19 age group took yet another first place on the podium.

In the individual competition, a special mention must go to Ross Harding of Hollyfield who took 1st place with an overall score of 60.70 points. In total, there were 124 trampolinists representing their school and colleges.   The support and encouragement from all competitors added to the atmosphere and made this championship a very special experience for all.
