Kingston Final

The Finalists were drawn from both competitions. The top two placed teams and the highest runner up over both the competitions progressed to the final held at Richard Challoner School on the 15th December.

Schools represented in the finals were Richard Challoner Boys/Holy Cross Girls,  Tiffin Girls/Tiffin Boys,  Coombe Girls/ Coombe Boys, Hollyfield, and Tolworth Girls/Southborough Boys.

Looking at the qualifying rounds the Final was going to be a very highly contested event. This was proved to be true as the lead changed hands several times. The final event of the day decided the winners!

Tolworth Girls and Southborough Boys will go on to represent Kingston in the next round of the National competition. We wish them every success.

Finally a massive thank you must go to the sixteen sports leaders from Holy Cross and Richard Challoner who have volunteered 10 hours of their time to support the Kingston Sportshall Athletics Programme. Without their support the event would not be the success it is today.

Kingston has been separated into a North and South league. The children have competed as mixed teams with partner schools. The South league was a close run event, held at Richard Challoner School. Teams from Southborough Boys/Tolworth Girls, Chessington Community College and Richard Challoner Boys/Holy Cross Girls entered.

The children competed in events such as Speed bounce, Standing Triple Jump and the Shot and also ran individual and team races on the track. The North Competition was held at Grey Court and also proved to be a very exciting event. The children competed in partnered teams (boys and girls). Teams from Coombe Boys/Coombe Girls, Tiffin Boys/Tiffin Girls, and Hollyfield, all entered. Every individual who participated scored points towards their team scores.
