Elevate - Tolworth and Surbiton Gifted and Talented Academy

Melody Graham of Grand Avenue interviewed the other G&T pupils from her school, and these were some of their thoughts………

How did you feel about being selected to take part in the Gifted and Talented academy?

"I felt great knowing that my school thought I was very good at sport"

What do you do in a typical session?

" We do a variety of activities designed to help us learn new skills"

(Ali Butt)  In a typical session we do a warm-up and then we focus on a particular theme, such as balance, agility and coordination. We work together in small groups of 3 or 4. We always finish with a mini tournament.

What have been your favourite activities?

"My favourite activities have been dodge ball and tennis champ because they were both very active and extremely fun to play"

Why do you think the G&T academy will make you better at sport?

"I think the G&T academy helps us to be better at sports since we practice

doing everything that you need in sports-agility, balance and coordination"
